Venice Beach

Venice Beach provides a scenic view of the Venice Public Fishing Pier and many opportunities to see dolphins and shorebirds. The beaches along Venice are home to a large number of marine turtle nests between the months of May and October. The beach is in Venice city limits but is maintained by Sarasota County, including its concession area. Parking is free and lifeguards are available. Camping is not allowed on the beach and fires are also prohibited.

Venice Fishing Pier

The City of Venice Fishing Pier is located at Brohard Park on the south end of the island of Venice. The 700-foot pier is a great location for fishing and to end the day watching a beautiful sunset. The Pier, owned by the City, is open 24 hours a day/7 days a week, with free admission. No fishing license is required.

Venice Theatre

Venice Theatre is a community theater in Venice, Florida, United States. Formerly Venice Little Theatre, the Venice Theatre is one of the largest community theaters in the United States. The theatre operates at one of the former buildings of the Kentucky Military Institute. KMI closed its Venice campus in 1971 and Venice Theatre acquired the building on 140 West Tampa Avenue in 1973 for $78,000 (equivalent to $369,000 in 2021) and converting the building to a theatre required an additional $225,000 (equivalent to $1,063,000 in 2021).
